Vatican Radio uses the short wave facilities of Radio Canada International as well as a transmitter from its own site at Santa Maria de Galeria. The medium wave frequencies at the Santa Maria site of 1530 kHz and 1611 kHz are both using DRM for long periods during the day. It is unclear if both physical transmitters have been converted to DRM or if there is some sharing of the DRM encoding technology.

Vatican Radio relays Radio 105 to North America in Mode C on short wave on a regular basis. Transmissions to Europe on short wave (Polish & German) were increased at the start of the B06 season.
