One transmitter at the Moosbrunn site has been converted to DRM and there have been several tests to the UK from this site by both OE1 and UK commercial broadcasters. There are no other AM transmitters in Austria.
The transmitter site is ideally placed to send a stable signal into the UK and during the B09 broadcast season the joint BBC & DW service used the site for services to Europe for 4 hours per day. With the budget cuts to DW only the BBC World Service broadcasts in DRM for 2 hours per day with a power of 40kW. For the B12 season the BBC is on 7355kHz from 0600-0800UTC.
